meet the photographer

Based in the Southern Adirondacks, I have been surrounded by beauty my entire life. Whatever it may be, as a photographer, it is my job to capture that beauty and immortalize it.

At the age of ten, my first experience with a camera started with Stop Motion Animation. Introduced by a family friend, I was always obsessed with grabbing the nearest Hot Wheels car and creating action-packed thrillers of street races, drifting, and the occasional police chase. As I began to take thousands of photos, I dove headfirst into stop-motion animation. Looking back, I do not doubt that my early films were horrendous. Focus, framing, and planning are a lot to ask of any child. However, I am thankful that this firsthand experience laid the foundation to develop the patience and eye of a proper photographer.

After some time, I forgot about the world of film and cameras to pursue other interests. It was not until college that I rediscovered my craft through an elective photography course. With the basics already under my belt, it wasn't long before I was confident in my work. With more enjoyment behind the lens, I found myself more determined than ever in my studies. Upon achieving an AAS for Media Arts at SUNY Adirondack, I was eager to kickstart this newly found passion as a career.

My next obstacle would come in the form of how I would brand myself. Winter aside, living in the Adirondacks does have its benefits. However, it is also one of the most oversaturated areas for portrait photographers. With this in mind, I aimed to shift focus to additional services and subjects that would allow me to stand out. But how exactly would I achieve that? The answer didn't come to me until I drove my Shelby Mustang one afternoon. With the revelation right in front of me, a lightbulb went off. I asked, "Why not also photograph my love for cars?!"

As a whole, photography is quite a humbling profession. Not only are you at the mercy of clients and deadlines, but you're also racing against the weather, backdrops, competition, and yourself. Each shoot comes with new difficulties and resolutions. Without the proper attitude, it can be overwhelming, but that's part of the fun. Each day is an opportunity to improve one's craft while enjoying each lesson.

As a photographer, I aim to inspire confidence while creating a transparent yet satisfactory experience for clients of all backgrounds. Although my first experience with a DLSR began well over a decade ago, I never imagined - I would still be playing with cars and cameras.

If interested, I would love to turn your vision into a reality.
